3rd annual Winter Solstice Event at Hoch Orchard
Saturday December 21st
Noon to 10pm
We will open the gate from Noon to 10pm on Saturday December 21st.
We are celebrating the end of the year by being open on the shortest day of the year; the Winter Solstice. We will have sales during the day, a cider tasting, farm raised and prepared feast and bonfire.
Gates open at Noon
A tasting table with all of our products will be displayed. We will have apples, jellies, sauces, vinegar, cider and pork for sale. Gift boxes will be available, perfect holiday presents.
Sweet Cider and Hard Cider Tasting at 5pm
We will hold a formal tasting of several of our varietals. We will pour samples of all the sweet cider we saved from the fall pressing. You will have the opportunity taste tart, sweet, and aromatic ciders and compare them side by side. If you are a cider lover you don’t want to miss this event.
A Farm Raised and Prepared feast to celebrate the Winter Solstice will be served at 6pm!
Here’s the menu- Smoked Pork and poultry, oven roasted potatoes, cabbage salad, oven roasted veggies and apple crisp for dessert. The meal is on us, our way of being thankful for the support we receive from all of you!
Other evening festivities will include a bonfire and great conversations!
Let us know if you plan to come for the meal.
Hope to see you on the farm.
